Wireless Internet

Radio Projects

Project work in the Territory includes:

• Installation of the highest radio site in North America at Mt. Logan as a component of a a VHF radio network to serve Kluane National Park
• Built Yukon's first radio common carrier system to provide reliable communication for mining concerns in the Klondike Gold Fields
• Construction and installation of rural community fire hall VHF radio communication systems

Four Watt Solar Powerd VHF Drop Repeater

This Solar Powered VHF Repeater was custom-built by Total North with a UHF option to link multiple repeaters. This system is capable of acting solely as a Drop Repeater, but is also capable of providing a voice weather announcement, wind speed, temperature and rain, all activated with DTMF.
