The nature of wired systems often requires that Total North determines the right system for our customers. Emphasizing the support side of the business has helped to ensure that the solutions developed meet or exceed the requirements. Total North has acted as both a prime contractor and subcontractor on numerous wired system projects throughout the Canadian Northwest. This includes:
- R.C.M.P. - Security Video Camera Monitoring
- Whitehorse Correctional Centre - CCTV
- Dawson City Fire Department - integrated fire monitoring system
- Porter Creek Secondary School - Sound System, Security, Voice and Data
- Elijah Smith Building - Copper and Fiber optic cabling for an internal network
Our technicians are fully trained in installation of Nordx/CDT and Hubbel products. We are familiar with and have experience in LAN and WAN network design, installation and maintenance. Our technical expertise allows us to offer our customers simple data cabling projects such as sound systems and telephone wiring, to more advanced work, such as fibre-optic cabling, including certified installation of Category 3-6 cabling.
Our latest contract work involved all cabling and termination for the Whitehorse Continuing Care Facility as well as the installation of a Public Address system for the City's new Aquatic Center.
